Audio reactive drawing app for iPad

This is a quick test of an audio reactive drawing app built in Adobe AIR running on the iPad. I wanted to see what sort of performance I could get with multiple animating sprites on stage reacting to audio with the stage quality set to “low”. I was pleasantly surprised. Frame rate was about 25fps most of the time, which is what I had the publish settings at.

This is in its early stages. I hope to use it for an upcoming visual performance and expand on it for release in the AppStore at some point.

Mobile App Market Comparison

It’s been about 3 weeks since Deco Sketch went up for sale on the interwebs starting with the App Store for iOS and the Android Market. It’s now available on on Amazon’s App Market as well as Barne’s and Noble’s NOOK App market. I wanted to put together a quick review and rating from a independent developers point of view. This is more from the perspective of actually getting your app into the markets, getting it noticed and administrating it.
